Nothing Phone 3 to debut Glyph Matrix, replacing the iconic LED strip interface

New Delhi: Nothing has shared a post on X (formerly Twitter); the company has made the “Glyph Matrix” official, announcing that it will replace the iconic Glyph Interface, marking the most significant visual overhaul in the brand’s smartphone lineup to date.

The video shows a dot-matrix-style LED display positioned near the top left corner of the phone’s transparent rear panel. Accompanied by the tagline “When the light becomes language,” the preview suggests a shift toward a more dynamic and expressive form of interaction.

The Glyph interface utilised segmented LED strips to signal notifications, charging status, and call alerts. The Glyph Matrix appears to be a grid-based setup. Nothing first hinted at the move in early June, with the Headphone 1 launch announcement.

At first glance, the Glyph Matrix appears very similar to the ASUS ROG Phone’s AniMe Vision display, which displays images, animations, and other content for notifications and customisation purposes.

The new interface will debut alongside the Nothing Phone 3 at the company’s upcoming Come to Play launch event on July 1.
