New Delhi: Nothing has officially started teasing its upcoming latest software version, Nothing OS 5.0, for its eligible Nothing devices. Nothing OS 5.0 is now one of the more immediate Android 17-based software upgrades to watch. Nothing had already confirmed in June that OS 5.0 was taking shape. Nothing has teased August 25, 2026, with the announcement scheduled around 11:00 AM BST. Nothing has clearly confirmed whether this will be the full debut, beta opening, or simply the software reveal.
More joy, every day.

Nothing has recently invited Nothing Phone (3) users to participate in the Community Review Program for an upcoming software release. While the company did not explicitly call it Nothing OS 5.0, reports strongly link the program to the Android 17 upgrade. Nothing has yet published a complete feature list. Android 17 itself unveils features such as floating Bubbles, improved multitasking, enhanced screen recording, better gaming support, stronger theft protection and improved privacy controls. Nothing is expected to combine these with its own Nothing OS design and features.
There is still no complete official Nothing OS 5.0 device list. Recent reports indicate newer models are expected to receive it, including Nothing Phone (3), Nothing Phone (4a/4a Pro), Nothing Phone (3a series), Nothing Phone (2a/2a Plus), and Nothing CMF Phone 2 Pro. These are expected; they won’t be officially confirmed until Nothing publishes the list.
The biggest story might not simply be Android 17; Nothing might use OS 5.0 to unveil the latest UI changes, Glyph improvements, AI-related features, smoother animations, performance optimizations, and Nothing-specific customizations. Claims about the specific latest Glyph or AI features are currently speculation, so it would not present them as confirmed features.
