Vivo has been touting advanced videography skills. Vivo has shared two 4K clips shot at 120fps, one uses Dolby Vision HDR, and the other is 10-bit Log video.
The first video is used for the slow-motion effect, and users can see how slowly the fireworks in the background move. The second also shows off a slow-motion selective impact, but it also demonstrates the advantages of Log video, namely that the video editor has more freedom to adjust brightness and contrast as the videos capture more dynamic range. These videos were shot on the Vivo X300 Pro, a phone that uses the Dimensity 9500 chipset, which was recently announced by MediaTek and leverages its NPU for fast and accurate autofocus. In addition, there is a V3+ chip for additional image processing.
The Pro will use a customised 200MP 1/1.4 Samsung sensor in its telephoto camera, though we don’t even know whether this video was shot with the telephoto camera. Another possibility is the primary camera with the Sony LYT-828 1/1.3 sensor. The X300 Pro will apparently have a 4K 60fps cinematic portrait video mode. In this article, we have added these two video shots, which were taken from the Vivo X300 Pro, so that users can check them out.
