New Delhi: Meta has officially launched its latest Muse Spark, the latest large language model that now powers its Meta AI assistant on the Meta AI application and website. The model will roll out to platforms by including WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, and its AI glasses in the upcoming weeks.
Meta has also announced upgrades to its Meta AI, along with the latest model. Muse Spark is the first model in its latest Muse series developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs. It rebuilt its AI stack over the past nine months, and with the Muse Spark, especially designed as the smaller and faster model, while the larger models are in development.
The model is also capable of reasoning via complex questions in areas such as science, math, and health, and it supports multimodal perception by enabling the Meta AI to process both text and images. This model will also help with certain health-related queries, and it worked with the physicians to develop its responses for the common health questions.
Muse Spark also allows the visual coding use cases, where users can generate items such as dashboards or simple games via prompts. The model will also be made available in private preview through the API to select partners. Meta has also stated that Muse Spark will replace the existing Llama models by powering the chatbots on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Meta’s official collection of smart glasses.
The assistant now also supports both quick responses and more complex reasoning tasks, with the users able to switch between the different modes. Meta AI can also run multiple sub-queries in parallel to handle different parts of the query at the same time.
It has extended how the assistant surfaces information by including content and recommendations based on the posts shared across Instagram, Facebook, and Threads.
