The current case revolves around allegations that the programs were engineered to make children and teens want to use the Internet more. Another problem cited by authorities was its laxness to safeguard minors against harmful material and other risks on its sites. The case holds particular significance as it might impact on a number of different actions being taken against Meta throughout the United States.
