New Delhi: Recently, Qualcomm has announced their latest flagship chip, which going to come soon in smartphone that is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, firstly it was named as Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, then after some decision and thinking they have decided to change the name of this chipset from Elite 2 to Gen 5 for the flagship performance in gaming and overall specifications of the smartphone. After this announcement, MediaTek has released a post on their X platform that they have partnered with TSMC on enhanced 2nm process technology, and they have finally announced their latest MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip for the upcoming flagship devices.

Now it will be the biggest rivalry in the technology of two flagship processors, in terms of best performance providers to the users, in terms of overall specifications of the smartphone. MediaTek is going to unveil this chip on September 22, and later that day, Qualcomm is going to reveal its 8 Elite Gen 5 on September 23. The latest processor is going to be powered in an Oppo device, which got a single-core score of 3,394. The device is believed to be the Oppo Find X9 Pro. However, MediaTek has confirmed that the company has successfully adopted the 2nm process, which could make its debut later on.

The 2nm TSMC process debuts a nanosheet transistor structure, which promises improved performance and power efficiency. At the same time, the higher yield is also expected at the time of production. However, the users will have to wait longer for the MediaTek chip to use this process. On the other side, Samsung is rumored to be using its own 2nm process for the upcoming Exynos 2600, which they are going to have in their forthcoming S26 series.
