New Delhi: Qualcomm has officially introduced its latest next-generation mid-range and budget mobile chipsets, which include Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5. Qualcomm unveils its latest chipset at its third annual “Snapdragon for India event” in New Delhi. These processors are specially designed to bring faster performance, extended battery life, and high-refresh-rate gaming.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 brings up to 21% improvement in GPU performance for improved graphics and faster everyday interactions. The chip also integrates Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0 while adding support for Wi-Fi 7 and more 5G networks. The chip supports AI-powered camera features that are specially designed to enhance overall image quality and image capture.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 comes with a 77% improvement in GPU performance compared to its previous versions. The processor also brings support for 90FPS gaming for the budget processor lineup. It also added support for Dual SIM Dual Active 5G+ 5G/4G connectivity, which enables users to stay actively connected across two different networks simultaneously without compromising either signal.
Snapdragon Smooth Motion UI, which Qualcomm stated, is focused on improving device interactions by eliminating laggy navigation. Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 latest UI layer delivers 20% faster application launches and reduces screen stutter by 18%.
Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 is expected to have 43% faster application launches and a 25% reduction in screen stutter to ensure all-day responsiveness.
