On Friday, 13th June 2025, Lava introduced its latest two smartphones, which offer standard specs that allow them to operate smoothly without any issues. Lava also wanted to prove that it was not out of the budget smartphone range. This smartphone will be part of Lava’s Storm series, featuring Storm Play and Storm Lite models that offer standard specs for typical use.
Storm Play Specifications
It will feature a 6.75-inch HD+ notch display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, making this phone a good choice for regular users. The phone features a 5000mAh battery pack, allowing users to operate it throughout the day without any issues. For charging, there is an 18W USB-C port for standard-speed charging.
In terms of cameras, a dual rear camera setup will be featured, utilising a Sony IMX752 sensor alongside a 2MP secondary camera sensor. There will be an 8MP wide-angle camera sensor for selfies and video calling.
Storm Play will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7060 processor, enabling users to perform their routine tasks smoothly. It will also come with 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.
Storm Lite Specifications
It will feature a similar 6.75-inch HD+ notch display with a smooth-performing 120Hz refresh rate. A 5000mAh battery pack will be included, featuring a 15W USB-C charging port for standard charging speeds.
In Storm Lite, a single-camera setup will be featured, comprising a 50MP IMX752 primary camera sensor and a 5MP wide-angle camera sensor designed for selfies and video calls.
It will offer a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor, allowing users to perform their routine tasks smoothly without any issues. In terms of storage, the device features 4GB of RAM and supports up to 128GB of internal storage.
Pricing
Storm Play will cost around Rs 9,999 for the base model, and the Storm Lite will cost around Rs 7,999 for the base model. At this price, it will be worth the investment for regular users to meet their everyday usage needs.
