New Delhi: Lava has been preparing to expand its Play series with the launch of the Lava Play Max in India recently. The device mainly focuses on bringing good performance at an affordable price tag. The company has also claimed that the Play Max was especially designed with the needs of the younger users in mind. Lava Play Max brings a segment-first vapor cooling chamber for sustained performance. Lava Play Max comes in two variants, which include: Deccan Black and Himalayan White. The black variant comes in futuristic design elements that give the device a gaming vibe.

Play Max is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, which is paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 onboard storage. This combination is intended to support seamless multitasking, fast application loading, and efficient battery usage. The device VC Cooling system is positioned as a solution for heat management during the extended periods of gaming on titles like COD Mobile, Free Fire, and BGMI. This Play Max features a 6.72-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is aimed at offering fluid scrolling and a good viewing experience to users.
The camera setup of this device includes a 50MP AI-assisted primary camera sensor, with the support of Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) and an 8MP front-facing camera sensor. The rear camera can record videos up to 4K at 30fps, which is a good point to notice in this device. The Lava Play Max houses a standard and regular 5000mAh battery pack with support for 33W fast charging, and this device comes with an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance. It will run on Android 15, and it will cost Rs 12,999 for the base variant.
