New Delhi: One of the better features users might find on the locks that support only Apple Home Keys is the main way to open the lock simply by tapping their iPhone or Apple Watch, but recently, the owners of the Ultraloq Bolt NFC have been able to do that with the smart lock, which was launched in June 2025. Now their software updates and they have recently brought the same convenient features to the Android smartphone users, but there is a catch, this now comes in Android smartphones, not their smartwatches.
The #BoltNFC started as the 1st smart lock designed for Apple Home Key on #iPhone. Now, it also supports tap-to-unlock on #Android, bringing more choice and interoperability to smart homes everywhere. Thanks @verge for the feature. #Smartlock #Innovation https://t.co/7rkRDjQRk0

The Ultraloq Bolt NFC priced at $200 which is likely around for Rs 17,500 in this there is an numeric PIN pad arranged in a semi-circle around the conventional key cylinder, but it doesn’t have an fingerprint reader, but users can find that features on the Bolt Fingerprint Matter smart lock they was launched in January, but that lock doesn’t support the near-filed communications, that was the main problem users have faced in that lock.
This Bolt NFC connects directly to their Wi-Fi network, eliminating the need for the bridge. The Wi-Fi connection allows users to also lock and unlock with the Ultraloq application, but the NFC feature means that users don’t need to launch the Ultraloq application, unlock their phone, or even make up. Ultraloq also offers two alternatives to keys and PIN codes. There’s a pair of NFC cards for $9, which is around Rs 800, and a four-pack of much smaller NFC key fobs for $17, which is around Rs 1,500. The manufacturer says that the update to its U-home application was released on September 5, and that the tap-to-unlock features should work with 99% of NFC-enabled Android smartphones.
