New Delhi: After five years of ban, with the most of controversy, the Chinese short video application TikTok has sparked excitement among those former Indian influencer who are become famous just by creating some short video of comedy, this was the platform for those Indian users who always makes shorts on this platform just for fun, and for some fame in the public, but some of the issues with this application it was banned in India by Indian government, along with this Indian government has banned many of the Chinese applications, on google and Google Play Store or App Store.
But after the ban, TikTok might make a grand entry in India, because in some sources it has been claimed that the TikTok website has been started on the Indian Google platform, which means users can visit the website of TikTok, but there is no application found on the Google Play Store or App Store, when some of the sources detect that this application homepage is only accessible but not any other page, which is a clear means that this application has been banned in India. Now there are some users who don’t even know why TikTok was banned in India.
The development has reignited conversations around the 2020 ban, in which the government initially blocked TikTok along with the 58 other Chinese applications, including Shareit and CamScanner, citing national security concerns. The Ministry of Electronics and IT stated that the applications were prejudicial to sovereignty and the integrity of India, defence of India, security of the state and public order. TikTok has also been facing a ban in the United States; however, President Donald Trump has stated that he has American buyers ready to acquire TikTok, and he is open to extending the deadline for its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, to sell the application’s US assets.
Now, if we discuss the clear thing of TikTok returning, then it is much clearer that only the TikTok homepage is currently running, but there is no confirmed news that TikTok is returning to India, which means it remains banned in India by the Indian government.
