New Delhi: Apple’s upcoming and most-rumored iPhone Air is expected to be unveiled this year, but now, in some reports, it has been reported that it will be introduced sooner than previously expected. iPhone Air 2 is now reported to be set to unveil along with the iPhone 18 Pro models and the most-awaited foldable iPhone model.
It has also been reported that the iPhone Air 2 might be introduced along with the base iPhone 18, which is expected to be unveiled in the first half of 2027, as part of Apple’s latest staggered unveil schedule.
It has also been claimed that the device might unveil in 2027, and possibly by enabling Apple to add the latest hardware, like a second rear camera. iPhone Air 2 is on track for fall unveil, along with the iPhone 18 Pro line and iPhone Fold. iPhone Air 2 might not bring major design changes.
It is also expected to be a routine update with internal improvements. These upgrades might also include the latest chipset, which is possibly the A20 Pro, but no major changes in camera setup or overall design.
iPhone Air was launched along with the iPhone 17 series in 2025, and it is Apple’s thinnest iPhone to date, with a thickness of around 5.6mm, slimmer than the 6.9mm profile of the iPhone 6.
iPhone Air 2 might be lighter than the current iPhone Air, while offering a larger battery. It might also be priced lower than the first-generation model.
