iOS 26.4 release candidate brings early look at new features

New Delhi: Apple has recently started rolling out its latest release candidate build of the upcoming iOS 26.4 update to developers and the public beta testers, suggesting that the software is nearing its official release for eligible iPhones. The iOS 26.4 RC build is expected to be the final version and incorporates all the features unveiled throughout the iOS 26.4 beta cycle.

Playlist Playground is coming with iOS 26.4; this feature creates a playlist based on the user’s description, including title, description, and tracklist.

It will also include the feature that will help users discover nearby shows and concerts from the artists in their library, while recommending the latest artists based on what they listen to.

Offline Music Recognition in Control Center is reported to come with this upgrade. It will help to identify songs without an internet connection and to deliver results automatically once the users are back online.

Ambient Music widget for Sleep, Chill, Productivity, and Wellbeing will be curated playlists on the Home Screen. This latest upgrade also includes full-screen backgrounds, which give album and playlist pages a more immersive look. The reduced Bright Effects setting in the upcoming upgrade will help minimize bright flashes when users tap on elements like buttons.
