Winners judged by the nation’s tech leaders received cash prizes and interview opportunities worth INR 12 Lakhs.
Noida, May 6: Innovaccer Inc., the Health Cloud company, hosted the Grand Finale of its fourth annual virtual HackerCamp’22 festival, themed “Bridging the Virtual Trio: Health, Work, and Life,” on April 26. Innovaccer partnered with Microsoft and GupShup to launch the season’s largest coding event, bringing together programmers, inventors, and entrepreneurs to build innovative solutions to real-world problems. The winners of HackerCamp’22 received incubation opportunities, cash prizes, and other packages worth more than ₹12 Lakhs.
Since its inception in 2017, HackerCamp has provided a way for the industry’s brightest minds to bring their ideas to life. This year’s edition welcomed ideas from all facets of innovation, ranging from augmented reality to blockchain, virtual reality to artificial intelligence, big data, analytics, and more. HackerCamp’22 hosted two tracks — freshers and professionals.
Five finalists were selected for each channel from a pool of over 50,000. They presented astounding applications that would bridge the gap between work, life, and health for the people before an eminent jury panel. Balakrishna Singhania, EVP and Head, Digital at HDFC; Shalabh Aggarwal, Vice-President, Engineering at Savii; Vipul N. Mehta, Global Head, Digital Transformation at Evalueserve; and Simranjit Kaur, Director, Strategy at Licious judged the finalists along with Mike Sutten, Chief Technology Officer, and Ankit Maheshwari, President, R&D and India operations at Innovaccer.
The runner-up for the freshers’ track was Apurva Sharma, a B.Tech student at VIT, Vellore, for her web app that uses a range of cutting-edge models to transform the profession of ophthalmology. V. Roshan Kumar Patro, pursuing B.Tech at IISER, Berhampur, received a special mention for his intriguing idea for his non-invasive device to determine lung cancer. The winner of the freshers’ track is Vishwas Modi, B.Tech. student at LNMIIT, Jaipur, for his Intelligent Yoga Trainer with Leaderboard.
S. Dhanya Abhirami, Software Engineer at Visa, won accolades for the experienced track. She became the runner-up with her self-awareness methodology solution that helps teenagers and young professionals limit their screen time. Amit Kumar, a Data Scientist at cure.fit, was the winner of the professionals’ track for his idea of Bringing Computer Vision, Sensors, and AI-based fitness solutions to Mobile Devices.
