Infinix Note Edge to debut soon, launch date announced

New Delhi: Infinix is now all set to introduce its latest Note Edge device later this month. This will be the first device to be powered by MediaTek’s recently introduced Dimensity 7100 processor. It is an octa-core CPU with a peak speed of 2.4GHz. Infinix has confirmed that the device will come with the XOS 16, based on Android 16, making it the first smartphone to run this operating system out of the box.

Infinix has confirmed that its Note Edge device will launch on January 19. It will be the first device to launch globally with the latest MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor. The device will ship with the Android 16-based XOS 16, which will also make its debut on the same date. The company has yet to reveal the India launch date of the device.

MediaTek launched the Dimensity 7100 chipset last month, as a successor to the MediaTek Dimensity 7050. This octa-core processor has four Arm Cortex-A78 cores with a clock speed of up to 2.4GHz and four Arm Cortex-A55 cores with a 2.0GHz clock speed. The chipset also includes the Arm Mali-G610 GPU. Infinix has stated that the Note Edge will support up to 90FPS gameplay, and the popular third-person shooter game BGMI will run on 60FPS smoothly.

The XOS 16 introduces a refreshed UI, which is designed to feel lighter, smoother, and more responsive. The OS will have semi-transparent UI elements along with the 3D spatial wallpapers. It is also teased to come with the latest animations for different user actions.
