New Delhi: Huawei has introduced its most potent and refined design, Huawei Mate 70 Air, and it has officially launched in China, becoming the latest smartphone to join the Air trend of slim and light premium phones. This phone features a large 7-inch display with a 6.6mm body design. The AMOLED display supports a refresh rate of 120Hz. Despite having a slim 6.6mm size, the phone comes with a 6500mAh battery capacity with 66W wired fast charging support. It weighs 208g and it also offers IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.
It offers two processor choices based on the RAM; the 12GB of RAM variant is powered by the Kirin 9020A SoC, whereas the 16GB of RAM model uses a Kirin 9020B processor. At the back panel, the Mate 70 Air features a primary 50MP wide camera with OIS support for stable video recording. Users will also get a 12MP RYYB telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide camera sensor, and a 1.5MP colour sensor. On the front, there will be a 10.7MP camera sensor for selfies and video calling.
This phone will run on HarmonyOS 5.1 out of the box, offering several AI features. Other specifications of the phone include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2 with LE, Hi-Res audio, Beidou satellite communication, NFC, and reverse wired charging at 5W. Huawei Mate 70 Air is currently available in Gold and Silver brocade, White feather robe, and Obsidian Black colour options. The device is now available for purchase in China through the official Huawei online store, and the base variant of this smartphone will be priced at CNY 4,199, which is around Rs 52,213.
