New Delhi: Honor has officially introduced its most anticipated and awaited device in China. We have been waiting for that one device for several months. Honor has officially launched its Robot Phone in China by unveiling a “new species of smartphone.” Rather than a fixed rear camera, it comes with a motorized 4DoF robotic gimbal camera that can physically tilt, pan, rotate, track subjects, and even “nod” or “dance” during AI interactions.

It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB onboard storage.
The major highlighted feature is the robotic camera module with a 200MP main camera with mechanical 3-axis gimbal stabilization. 4DoF movement lets the camera pan, tilt, roll, and rotate for smoother footage. AI Object Tracking follows people automatically, even when they briefly leave the frame. AI SpinShot allows cinematic 90° and 180° rotating shots. It also supports voice commands, gesture controls, and automatic framing during video calls. Honor stated that the custom micro-motor inside the device is 70% smaller than conventional solutions, making the moving camera compact enough to fit inside the device.
It has a 200MP robotic gimbal camera, a 200MP periscope lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, it has a 50MP main camera sensor for selfies and video calling. This device supports 4K recording, ARRI-inspired cinematic presets, and professional workflows focused on mobile filmmakers.
Honor is also pushing Embodied AI, where the smartphone behaves more like a companion than a traditional phone. It features a 6.31-inch OLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 6,800nits. It is coupled with 16GB RAM and 1TB onboard storage. It houses a massive 7,060mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
One of the biggest surprises is Honor’s partnership with ARRI, the company behind all the Hollywood cinema cameras. This brings ARRI color science, Log-C recording, Professional LUT support, and Cinema Mode for filmmakers.
