New Delhi: Google has officially announced that they are going to roll out its September 2026 Android Drop, by bringing 5 latest features focused at making Android phones more useful, easier to use and more personal for the users. This upgrade aims on finding misplaced items, by reducing motion sickness, improving accessibility and adding latest options to Google Messages.
Gemini can remember where you keep things
One of the major useful additions is the latest connection between Gemini and Find Hub. Users will able to ask the Gemini to remember where they have placed important items that do not have tracker attached. Gemini will save the information in Find Hub, and users can later ask where the item was placed. A image can also be added to make it easier to remember the items. This feature is coming to devices by running Android 16 or newer in regions where Gemini and Find Hub are been supported.
Motion Assist can help reduce motion sickness
The company is also unveiling Motion Assist, a feature which is specially designed for the people who feel uncomfortable or sick while using their phone in moving vehicle. This feature places small bubbles over the phone’s display that move along with the vehicle. This is specially designed to reduce the difference between what the users to see on the screen and waht their body feels while travelling.
Motion Assist will going to available on devices which are running Android 17. Users can turn it on manually or they can also allow it to activate automatically when movement is detected. The appearance of the bubbles can also be adjusted.
Gemini Live gets Guided Vision
Another most important upgrade is Guided Vision, which uses thwe Gemini Live and the devices camera to describe what is around the user. This feature is specially designed to help the blind and low-vision users. It can describe the objects, read small text on labels and help the users to understand what is in front of them. It can offer voice instructions if the camera needs to be moved or repositioned. Guided Vision is coming to smartphones which are running Android 9 and newer in countries where Gemini is available.
Google keep comes to Google Messages
Google Messages is also getting Google Keep integration. Users can create and edit shared notes and lists directly inside the conversation. This might be very useful for creating grocery lists, planning trips or sharing ideas with friends without switching between different applications. This feature is starting to roll out via Google Messages.
Custom Themes for Google Messages
Google is also expanding chat customization, users can now give individual conversations their own backgrounds, wallpapers and colors. They can even use personal photos as the chat background, while message bubbles adjust to match the selected theme.
