Google rolls out AI speaker, confirms India won’t get it

New Delhi: Google has recently announced that they have unveiled their latest smart AI speaker, the Google Home Speaker, which is mainly built ground up to showcase the Gemini for the Home. The device is designed for more natural, conversational interactions, with dedicated processing for the Gemini’s advanced AI. There is a latest dynamic light ring that shows when the Gemini is listening, thinking, reasoning or responding, and there will even be a Gemini Live Mode. Those users who want a smart home, this latest Google Smart AI Speaker will be the best choice for them and for their smart home.

This latest Google Speaker offers 360-degree balanced audio, so the music fills the room evenly, no matter where it’s placed in the home. For the first time, users can also pair two Home Speakers with the Google TV streamer to create a proper cinematic surround sound system, a long-requested feature. The device is still going to support grouping with other Home and Nest Speakers for multi-room music and stereo pairing. A physical mic mute toggle remains, addressing privacy concerns.

If we discuss the design, this latest Home Speaker is compact, wrapped in the fabric made through a 3D knitting process that goes to cut waste, and it will come with four colours: Porcelain, Hazel, Jade, and Berry. But after discussing the system, there is one thing that Indian users don’t know: this Home Speaker is not on the launch list in India, which means India might not receive this Home Speaker. Whereas, Google has said that this Home Speaker will go on sale in Spring 2026 for $99.99 across the US, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
