New Delhi: Today, Google is commemorating its 25th birthday with a brand-new Doodle that displays how the company’s logos have changed over time. Google, which was founded in September 1998 by Sergey Brin and Larry Page, has completely changed how we browse and conduct online searches today.

All regions of the world will be able to see the new Doodle, with the exception of China and Russia, because of some restrictions. Google recalls the meeting of Sergey Brin and Larry Page in the late ’90s at Stanford University’s computer science programme and their common goal of making the internet more accessible through a post.

Google became well-known for having a robust search engine that became the industry standard. The term “Google” has come to represent internet searching. It went public in 2004 and, with AdWords, revolutionized digital marketing.

In 2005, Google extended its offerings and launched Google Maps, revolutionizing how we navigate. Google Drive (2012) and Gmail (2004) have become indispensable services.

Android was introduced in (2008) and quickly took over the worldwide smartphone market. After being purchased in 2006, YouTube emerged as the preferred video-sharing service.

The T-Mobile G1, Google’s first Android phone, was also announced in 2008, together with the Chrome web browser. In the years that followed, Google Glass was introduced, Waze was purchased, Alphabet, Google’s parent company, was established, and Sundar Pichai was appointed Google’s CEO.

With Google Assistant and Google Photos, Google embraced AI. Google.org promotes causes ranging from disaster assistance to education.

In their hostel, the pair got to work on their concept and created a functional prototype for an improved search engine. They eventually relocated the business to a leased garage in Menlo Park, California, and established Google Inc. there.

Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai wrote a blog post earlier this month in which he discussed the company’s prospects, in particular the potential presented by AI. In the next 25 years, Google will compete against other industry titans across all product categories. Google is already one of the leading companies in this industry, and AI is one of the main possibilities it is attempting to capitalize on. For Google to keep its top position for the next 25 years, there may be an even greater need for innovation and influence.

Google has altered its logo several times throughout the years, but the first significant revision occurred in 2010. After that, a brand-new flat logo was launched in 2013. The most recent logo modification occurred in 2015 when Google unveiled a new logo with colours but switched the typography to “Product Sans,” which was made by Google. The colours of the letters are still the same, though.

Google has gone a long way from the 3D logo that appeared to have been created using the Word Art tool in Microsoft Word to the well-known “Material You” themed logo.
