New Delhi: Forza Horizon 6 will be the upcoming entry in Microsoft’s open-world racing game franchise, and the developer Playground Games has been announced. The racing simulator was revealed at the Xbox Tokyo Game Show, and it will now be set in Japan. The upcoming game in the racing simulator franchise is now all set to be unveiled in 2026 on consoles like Xbox Series X/S and PC first. Forza Horizon 6 got the teaser trailer with the callbacks to each of the previous entries in the franchise, before ultimately revealing that it is Japan that the series will be going to next.

The Forza Horizon 6 teaser trailer ends by showing the users a beautiful landscape with houses on the side of the calm water body and Mount Fuji in the distance. Now there will be many questions from users about why Japan was chosen as the setting. The answer is Japan has been one of the most iconic and requested locations by the community, and bringing the Horizon Festival to this incredible region has been one of their most significant ambitions yet. They recognise its importance to their players, and they feel the same way. Forza Horizon 6 will be arriving on Xbox Series X/S consoles and PC first in 2026.

The open-world racing simulator will be included in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and the PC Game Pass at launch; moreover, the developers also have plans to bring Forza Horizon 6 to PlayStation 5 later. With the excitement for this franchise on other platforms, they also have Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios working together to bring Forza Horizon 6 to PlayStation 5 post-launch. Forza Horizon 6 can now be wishlisted on the Microsoft Store and Steam.
