Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra benchmark confirms powerful Dimensity 9500 processor

New Delhi: The Galaxy Tab S12 series has recently been in the news, and it is likely to debut around September this year, assuming Samsung follows its usual release cycle. The Ultra model might feature a hole-punch selfie camera.

More recent leaks indicate that it might not happen this year. There is some good news when it comes to the performance. Ultra model has recently appeared on Geekbench, revealing improved performance compared to last year’s Tab S11 Ultra.

However, the listing does not confirm the model name; the model number SM-X946B closely resembles that of Tab S11 Ultra, which was SM-X936B, confirming that this is Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. The core cluster of the upcoming tablet includes: one prime core, three performance cores, and four efficiency cores.

It also rules out the last two generations of the Qualcomm Snapdragon flagships. It also previewed the peak clock speeds of 4.21 GHz and 2.7 GHz for the prime and performance cores, confirming this is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500.

The chipset scores 2,424 in the single-core test and 8,446 in the multi-core test. This is a slight improvement in performance over the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is likely to retain many of the specs from last year’s model, including a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display and a massive 11,600mAh battery with 45W wired charging support.

It is expected to have a 13MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 12MP front-facing camera. Out of the box, it runs on One UI 9 based on Android 17. Samsung’s flagship software policy is expected to receive 7 major Android OS upgrades and 7 years of security patches.
