New Delhi: Recently, Spotify has unveiled lossless audio for its Premium users after years of hype and anticipation. But now, they have released the latest updates in which they have brought something much better for those free users of Spotify, and now the free users also get more from this application, finally allowing more freedom while streaming music. Pick and Play will enable users to choose any song and stream it instantly on the application. Through Search and Play, users can search for any specific track from the Spotify library and listen to it straight away. Previously, free users on Spotify could only shuffle songs and had a limited number of skips per hour.

Share and Play takes things one more step ahead, users can instantly stream a track shared by their friends or favorite artists on social media. Users often share their favorite tracks on Instagram through their stories. One can click on the Spotify link on such a story and then stream the song on the audio streaming application. Spotify even comes with direct messaging on the platform to further facilitate the sharing of songs and playlists. Users can also listen to songs directly through Share and Play through the DMs.
This change is undoubtedly one of the best additions for free Spotify users, as users have complained about the limited number of skips and mandatory shuffles. But as is always the case, Spotify will still restrict this free experience. These features will come with the daily on-demand time limit for the free users. Spotify did not give details of these limits. Though once the limit resets daily, there are no such restrictions for Spotify Premium users. Free users are from the larger user base for Spotify compared to the Premium subscribers. The company claims that out of 696 million users, only 276 are subscribed to Spotify Premium. This brings the free user base to around  420 million users.
