CMF Buds Neo launched in India with 35dB ANC and up to 52 hours of battery life

New Delhi: Nothing’s sub-brand CMF has officially unveiled its latest CMF Buds Neo in India. It is priced at Rs 1,999, making it the most affordable model in CMF’s current audio lineup. It comes with a 35dB Adaptive ANC, 12.4mm titanium-coated dynamic drivers, four microphones, Bluetooth 6.0, and up to 52 hours of total playback. Nothing’s CMF Buds Neo sales in India are scheduled to begin on August 26.

However, its biggest selling point is the combination of ANC and long battery life at the Rs 2,000 price point. CMF has cut several advanced features found on more expensive models, but it retained the features most mainstream buyers are expected to notice.

What is different about CMF Buds Neo?

CMF Buds Neo offers up to 35dB Adaptive ANC; this can reduce everyday background sounds such as traffic, fans, and air conditioners. And at this price point, ANC is one of the strongest selling points. Don’t call it the strongest ANC in the CMF range. The CMF Buds 2a has 42dB ANC, while the CMF Buds 2 goes up to 48dB Hybrid ANC.

This buds have biggest practical benefit, the company claims, is up to 52 hours of total playback with the charging case. A 10-minute quick charge can offer up to 5.5 hours of listening. For comparison, the CMF Buds 2a is rated for 35.5 hours, while the more expensive CMF Buds 2 reaches 55 hours. So the CMF Buds Neo gets almost similar overall battery endurance as the Buds 2, despite being positioned much lower in the lineup.

CMF Buds Neo uses a 12.4mm dynamic driver with a titanium-coated dome. This is focused on delivering stronger bass and a more energetic sound. The important point is that it isn’t achieved by using a tiny basic driver simply because it is a budget model. This is another surprisingly good feature for the price. CMF Buds Neo supports Bluetooth 6.0 and multipoint/ dual-device connectivity, enabling users to connect it with two devices. That can be useful if users regularly switch between phone and laptop.

CMF Buds Neo also supports static Spatial Audio, custom EQ settings, and Nothing’s companion application, offering users more control over the sound.
