Cloudflare DNS Outage Disrupts Major Sites Using 1.1.1.1

New Delhi: Cloudflare, a web hosting service, experienced downtime for thousands of users on Monday afternoon, according to DownDetector. Cloudflare stated that there was an issue with the 1.1.1.1 public resolver, which resulted in many websites hosted on its servers being down, and they are working to resolve this issue. Due to this issue, many users are unable to access their websites, creating a problem because the server is down.

Cloudflare is aware of the issue and is investigating a potential impact on multiple users who use the 1.1.1.1 public resolver. Furthermore, this level of detail has been provided as more information becomes available.

DownDetector, a platform that tracks internet outages based on user reports, had as many as 4,071 users report an outage at the peak of the outage. Since then, the number of reports has decreased to 400 and is continuing to decline. In the comments section of the application, many users stated that Cloudflare is back up and working.

Additionally, DownDetector reported that 98% of users experienced a problem with the DNS while reporting an issue with the hosting. Some users claimed that the outage was not limited to Cloudflare DNS, and Google and other hosting services also experienced an outage. Despite all of these, DownDetector also shows the same; there has been no official message from Google about the issue as of now.
