Yamaha XSR155 hits the road with 4 fresh shades and retro appeal

New Delhi: Yamaha has officially unveiled its latest model, which is the most-awaited XSR155 in India. By marking its entry into the 150cc neo-retro motorcycle segment, the motorcycle’s ex-showroom pricing starts from Rs 1.50 lakh. The bike is more affordable than its naked and sportbike siblings, like the MT-15 and the R15. Apart from these impressive features and specifications, the colour palette is equally interesting. This Yamaha XSR155 is offered in four colour options: Metallic Grey, Vivid Red, Greyish Green Metallic, and Metallic Blue.

The Vivid Red shade, on the other hand, is bright and youthful, accentuating the XSR’s sporty side. Greyish Green Metallic gives the bike a rugged, old-school personality, and the Metallic Blue option adds a dash of sophistication, balancing modern flair with the retro lines. Powering the XSR155 is the familiar 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Actuation, producing 18.1bhp and 14.2 N · m. The motor comes with a mated six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch.

The bike is underpinned by the Deltabox frame, suspended by the upside-down front forks and a monoshock. The braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends, with the dual-channel ABS and traction control for added safety, and at 137kg kerb, the XSR155 is relatively light, while the 810mm seat height makes it further accessible. It will be the power-packed competition bike for the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and the TVS Ronin, which is actually similar in design to the retro old-school design that many people love. It will make intense competition in the market.
