Tata Punch Turbo spotted in new teaser before January 13 reveal

New Delhi: Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles is now gearing up for the highly anticipated launch of the Punch facelift. The company has recently released a teaser showcasing the refreshed latest SUV’s design by highlighting the key styling updates, and confirming several major elements. Building on the excitement, Tat has now dropped another teaser that reveals a significant mechanical update, the addition of the Turbo engine. This confirmation positions the Punch facelift as not just a cosmetic refresh but a performance-oriented update, raising expectations ahead of its official debut.

The Tata Punch Turbo Petrol is expected to feature the familiar 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged engine from the Altroz Racer, which produces approximately 118 bhp and 17 Nm. Similar figures are likely for the Punch as well. The teaser further confirms the presence of a 6-speed manual gearbox. Behind the gear lever, the driver’s seat shows enhanced under-thigh support detail first seen on the latest Sierra. Additionally, it is set to improve comfort levels, making the Punch Turbo a more refined and driver-friendly SUV.

The latest teaser showcases several of the latest features on the Tata Punch. It also highlights a fully digital instrument cluster, 65W fast charging for quicker device top-ups, Hill Descent Control for added confidence on steep slopes, and a fresh touch-based control panel for key functions. The addition of FATC further elevates the SUV’s premium appeal by offering climate convenience that was previously absent in the outgoing model. Tata Punch facelift silhouette is similar to its predecessor; it also comes with fresh styling cues. New alloy wheels and a redesigned rear end stand out, with taillights featuring a full-width light strip inspired by the Harrier and Safari.
