New Delhi: Tata has unveiled a new identity for its passenger cars brand TATA.CARS is an initiative of its plans to make the car buying experience a more modern and unified one. The new identity will extend to Tata’s passenger vehicle platform such as cars, SUVs and electric vehicles.
Tata Motors has also launched a new brand promise with the new identity, “Nothing’s Too Far”. The new branding will be rolled out over time at dealerships, online, service centres and other customer touch points, the company states.
Tata dealerships to get a new look
One of the biggest changes will be seen at Tata Motors dealerships. The company has just previewed a “more modern and premium” design of the Showroom with larger glass surfaces, cleaner layout and new blue color scheme.
The new dealerships will feature a mixture of petrol/diesel and electric cars all within the same retail window. As Tata Motors has recently added the Punch, Nexon, Curvv, Harrier, Safari and a number of electric models to its lineup, this marks the latest step to strengthen the corporate image. This is the latest move as Tata Motors has been expanding its electric vehicle lineup, and popular models like the Punch, Nexon, Curvv, Harrier and Safari are all set to be added to its lineup.
What does TATA.CARS mean?
TATA.CARS will work as an umbrella brand for Tata’s passenger vehicle business. The company states that it got the name due to the generic name given to its automobiles by customers for years.
The new branding also presents a visual design Parallel Pathways which is derived from the Tata ‘T’ logo and road markings. There’s also a new “Ambition Blue” colour, a new typeface and a new sound identity, introduced by Tata.
Notably this is not a change in the company name. The legal entity will continue to be Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. and the iconic Tata logo on cars will also remain the same. The model name individual will continue as per usual, e.g., Nexon, Punch, Curvv, Harrier, and Safari.
However, Tata Motors has begun its digitization process. For instance, the Nexon is now being introduced as TATA.CARS.NEXON on social media.
With TATA.CARS, Tata Motors’ objective is to give the user one single brand experience from discovering the car to buying the car and ownership till servicing.
