Mumbai, August 25: Tata Communications Limited has partnered with Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles to embed 5G cellular connectivity for the newly launched Tata Sierra.ev electric SUV.
Under the collaboration, Tata Communications’ MOVE platform will be integrated into Tata Motor’s N.IO software-defined vehicle (SDV) platform. This will help deliver built-in 5G connectivity, high-speed data delivery, advanced AI applications, and real-time safety diagnostics across variants of Sierra.ev.
According to the collaboration, the MOVE platform will help establish a high-bandwidth digital backbone for connected vehicle services through Tata Motor’s N.IO platform. It will offer seamless, quick over-the-air software updates, and real time remote telemetry to improve vehicle safety and operational uptime.
This collaboration is aimed at transforming Tata Motors’ vehicles into continuously connected digital experiences that provide uninterrupted infotainment, personalisation and help improve fleet efficiency for commercial use cases.
“Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has consistently set benchmarks for innovation in the automotive industry, and we are excited to collaborate on the launch of the Sierra.ev.
