New Delhi: Suzuki Motorcycle India has recently introduced its first electric scooter in the country, the Suzuki e-Access, by marking the brand’s entry into India’s fast-growing EV two-wheeler space. The e-Access is positioned as the premium electric scooter aimed at urban commuters, combining familiar Access branding with an electric powertrain. With the prices now announced and bookings open, Suzuki is targeting buyers looking for a practical, brand-backed EV option. The Suzuki e-Access has been launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.88 lakh.
This positions it above several mass-market electric scooters and closer to the premium end of the segment. The pricing reflects Suzuki’s focus on build quality, battery technology, and reliability rather than aggressive cost positioning. On-road prices will vary depending on state subsidies, registration charges and insurance. The e-Access is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack paired with an electric motor designed for the city community.
Suzuki claims a range of up to around 95km on a single charge under standard test conditions. The scooter is equipped with a 5.49 hp motor and generates 15 Nm of torque. The e-Access supports both regular and fast charging options, with the charging times varying based on the power source used. Performance has been tuned for smooth acceleration and predictable throttle response in urban traffic. Feature highlights include a fully digital instrument cluster, keyless start, regenerative braking and multiple riding modes. The scooter also offers smartphone connectivity for basic vehicle information and alerts.
