New Delhi: The Jawa 42 Bobber is Indonesia’s popular bike and Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles have released a new special edition version of the bike. It is referred to as the Jawa All Stars 42 Bobber and will run about Rs 2.08 – 2.09 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Who unveiled it
This latest bike was presented by Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group at the Global Chess League 2026 in Bengaluru. Jawa is been produced by the Classic Legends, a part of the Mahindra Group. Mahindra commented on the debut, stating that Global Chess League has proven to be an example where individuality and teamwork can coexist as they are playing in their individual style but contributing to a bigger cause. The new Jawa All Stars 42 Bobber has got to be in a like spirit,” he added.
Hence the selection of a Chess event for a bike launch! It also can be used to give the bike some chess related graphics on the bike.
What makes it special
The 42 FJ All Stars debuted this year and this is the other bike in Jawa’s new “All Stars” series. The highlights of the main ones are:
- New colours: A total of five to six of them, including a possibility like Black Mirror and Mystic Copper, as well as a brand new colour, Jasper Red, which I haven’t yet seen.
- Chess-board graphics: The bike will be like a chess board with graphics and a special “All Stars” badge, linking it to the introduction of the chess league, and also making it look a little different than the normal 42 Bobber.
- Design: Jawa’s first purpose built bobber, with a long, low profile frame and single floating seat, has a very different appearance to the other retro bikes in this category. It also won the “Style Icon of the Year” award at the beginning of 2026.
No big engine changes
In terms of its function, it is unchanged. This bike continues to be powered by the Jawa’s 334cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled system which delivers 30PS of power and 30Nm of torque via its 6-speed gearbox. It also supports dual-channel ABS for enhanced braking safety. So there’s not too much here for power; it’s mostly looks.
Warranty and Sales
With the bike, Jawa is still providing its Ownership Assurance Programme, which is backed by a 4-year-50,000 km standard warranty, and has 2-year extension options. Jawa All Stars 42 Bobber will be available at Jawa Yezdi dealerships in India.
