Honda CBR500R Four specifications leak ahead of launch

New Delhi: Several specifications of the upcoming Honda CBR500R Four have been revealed by some sources. This upcoming sports-bike, along with the CD500 four, will mark Honda’s reentry into the smaller capacity four-cylinder segment. The supersport will be powered by the 502cc, liquid-cooled, in-line four engine that produces 70.8bhp. This isn’t much impressive when compared to the Chinese rivals like the CFMoto 500SR Voom, with the 499cc inline four engine producing 77.8bhp.

The Honda BR500R Four has a kerb weight of 189kg, it is built on a diamond frame and is suspended on an inverted fork and a linked-type rear monoshock. The braking setup consists of the dual-disc brakes at the front with the Nissin callipers and a single-disc brake at the rear.

The Honda E-Clutch system is included as part of the package, but it is mounted differently to achieve better weight distribution. The bike will be unveiled in China, and later in the international markets. But it doesn’t seem like users can expect a launch anytime soon, as the brand didn’t showcase the bike at the EICMA 2025.
