New Delhi: Bentley, this luxury brand, has unveiled its latest iteration of the Supersports, a limited-run, two-seat variant of its most loved Continental GT that marks a significant departure from the model’s traditional grand-touring brief. This latest Supersports adopts a rear-wheel drive for the first time in the Continental range and drops its weight to under two tonnes, making it the lightest Bentley in its 85 years. Only 500 individually numbered units will be produced, with the order books opening in March 2026 and deliveries scheduled for early 2027. This latest Supersports uses a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, producing 666bhp and 800Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual clutch gearbox.
The engine receives uprated cylinder heads, a reinforced crankcase and larger turbos. Power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels through an electronically controlled, limited-slip differential. Bentley estimates a 0-100 kmph time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of around 310kmph, with the final figures pending certifications. A complete titanium exhaust system developed with Akrapovic is standard and is tuned for noticeably more pronounced character compared to previous Continental GTs. The shift to rear-wheel drive allowed engineers to recalibrate the car extensively. The Supersports gets a widened rear track, rear-wheel steering, reworked suspension, a latest shifting strategy, and revised stability control modes. ESC can be fully disabled, allowing significant, controlled oversteer.
It comes with three latest driving modes: Touring, Bentley, and Sport, which vary throttle response, damping, ride height, and exhaust valve behaviour. The launch control will be available in the Bentley mode. The braking system uses 440mm front carbon-silicon-carbide discs with 10-piston callipers, claimed to be the largest on any production car, and 410mm discs at the rear. The latest 22-inch forged wheels developed with Manthey Racing are standard, with the optional Pirelli Trofeo RS tyres enabling up to 1.3g of lateral grip, around 30% higher than the Continental GT speed.
Bentley has removed the rear seats entirely, replacing the cabin’s rear section with a carbon-fibre tub. Sound insulation has been reduced, and the audio system now serves only the front of the cabin. Several driver-assistance systems have been deleted. Outside, the roof is now a carbon-fibre panel, contributing to a total weight loss of nearly 500kg compared to the regular GT. Bentley claims these components generate over 300kg more downforce than the GT Speed while maintaining balanced lift distribution. The interior features the latest lightweight sports seats with increased bolstering and lower seating positions. Leather, Dinamica and carbon fibre dominate the cabin, with the options for monotone, dual-tone or latest tri-tone configuration. Carbon-fibre veneers are standard, with the optional brushed or engine-turned aluminium finishes. Buyers can choose from 24 standard exterior colours, with Mulliner offering further finishes, striping and matte paint. Bentley has created five predefined design themes.
This car launches features two themes: Nightfall and Daybreak. Production will begin in Q4 2026, with deliveries starting in 2027. The Supersports will be sold in the UK, EU, North America, Australia, New Zealand and select Middle Eastern and Asian markets, including Malaysia, Oman, Bahrain, UAE, Qatar and Kuwait.
