New Delhi: AMD has officially unveiled its latest Radeon RX 9050, the latest entry-level RDNA 4 graphics card focused on budget-conscious gamers. This GPU is initially coming to Asia-Pacific, Japan, and Latin America with a starting price of $279 (roughly Rs 26,688), positioning it directly against NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5050. AMD has not announced global availability.

AMD has also allowed the support for: FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR), HYPR-RX, Radeon Anti-Lag 2, AMD Fluid Motion Frames, DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1a. These features bring AI-powered upscaling and frame generation technologies to AMD’s most affordable RDNA 4 GPU.
AMD has claimed the RX 9050 is specially designed for 1080p gaming. AMD has not disclosed the complete testing platform, graphics presets for every title, or whether frame generation was enabled, so independent reviews will offer a clearer performance picture.
Radeon RX 9050 aims at first-time PC builders, budget gaming PCs, and esports gamers. Its aim is smooth 1080p gaming with access to AMD’s latest AI graphics technologies. AMD’s usual add-in-board partners are expected to release custom models, including ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, Sapphire, PowerColor, and XFX.
However, the custom cooling system and solution that comes with the factory overclocked versions are expected to follow the regional debut.
