New Delhi: OnePlus is set to expand its flagship lineup in India with the upcoming OnePlus 15R. The company has now turned its focus to its forthcoming performance-driven offering. With this official microsite already live and several features confirmed, in this article, we are going to see the specifications that this flagship OnePlus 15R will have. This OnePlus 15R is set to make its debut in India on December 17, sharing the stage with the OnePlus Pad Go 2. After this launch, the device will immediately go on sale through Amazon, the OnePlus online store, and authorised retail partners across the country.

OnePlus has recently confirmed, and they are showcasing on social media platforms also, and it is going to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, marking a substantial upgrade over its predecessor. The device is now expected to be paired with the LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 onboard storage, promising smoother multitasking and quicker application loading. The major highlight of its massive 7,400mAh battery pack is the largest ever fitted into the OnePlus devices. This surpasses even the 7,300mAh battery unit found in the OnePlus 15R.

The company also stated that the battery has been engineered for extended gaming, streaming, and productivity sessions. It is going to feature Silicon Nanostack technology with the 15% Silicon content in the anode, enabling the cell to retain at least 80% capacity after four years. The device will also support 80W fast charging. It will feature a 165Hz 1.5K AMOLED display, matching the panel used on the OnePlus 15. The screen can hit peak brightness of 1800nits for improved outdoor visibility and can dim down to just 1 nit for eye comfort in low-light settings. It also carries the TUV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 5.0 Certification, which should appeal to users who spend long hours on their devices.

The device is expected to come with a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary camera sensor with optical image stabilisation, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera sensor. On the front, there will be a 32MP primary camera sensor to handle selfies and video calls. While not a dramatic overhaul, the setup also suggests reliable everyday photographic performance. This OnePlus 15R might be priced at the Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000  pricing bracket in India.
