New Delhi: Opera has recently introduced its latest AI browser, which is named Neon browser, aiming to make an agentic browser more than just a buzzword. It will be available now in invite-only access at the price tag of $19.99 per month, which will approximately cost Rs 1,772. This Neon AI Browser is especially designed for the people who are already lean heavily on the AI in their daily workflow, so this will be the perfect browser they going to have in their daily workflow.

Neon ships with a built-in AI chatbot that will answer the questions, but the more ambitious pitch is the Neon Do, which is a system that acts like a digital assistant layered on top of the browser. It can easily summarise the Substack post and drop it straight into Slack, or pull details from the YouTube video users can watch last week, by typing into their browsing history. Neon aims to act less like a search engine and more like a memory-augmented aide. This browser can also generate code snippets to create visual reports with tables and charts. Opera hints at the ability to build small, application-like tools this way, though it’s unclear whether they will be shareable at launch.
The most standout features are the Cards, Opera’s answer to the reusable AI workflows, much like the browser company’s skills in Dia. Cards will let users save prompts that act like mini-applications. Opera is also borrowing a page from the Arc’s Space and Chrome’s Tab Groups with the Tasks, a workspace going to features that bundle AI chats and browser tabs into self-contained units. With the latest Neon, Opera has joined Perplexity and the Browser Company in chasing the agentic browser trend, with the browser that doesn’t just show the web, but acts on it.
