OpenAI targets classrooms with new ChatGPT tool for teachers

New Delhi: Google and OpenAI have started aiming at students with their latest free AI offerings, and now the latter is focusing on teachers, with the latest ChatGPT version rolling out for the segment. The company has unveiled ChatGPT for Teachers, which is free until 2027, and it has all the latest GPT features and claims better privacy to keep the content safer from prying eyes. Unlike the regular users, teachers need a dedicated space where they can share their information and data related to lessons and the student plans. The most crucial focus is to make sure the AI errors don’t plague the students with misinformation.

This latest ChatGPT for the Teachers comes with a clear idea of who it wants to aim at. This version is totally different from the regular GPT 5.1 model that all of the users can access. But this version comes with some of the amazing features that include:

  • Unlimited GPT 5.1
  • Private, FERPA-grade privacy
  • Built-in Canva, Drive, and Microsoft 365 access
  • Lesson plans, examples, standards

The teacher will get specific features that should ideally keep the data secure, and OpenAI stated that the regular content on ChatGPT will not show in this version. The education level privacy settings have the proper accreditations to keep students’ data safe, but easily accessible for the teachers using the ChatGPT version. The AI war is getting more intense, and these latest versions are being created to widen its use and increase the user base. Google’s recently launched Gemini 3 users can access it through the Gemini application itself, Search in AI Mode and other versions from day one of launching.

The Gemini 3 AI model looks to battle with the latest ChatGPT 5.1 version, along with others like Claude, Grok and more. This is the first time that the Gemini release is being integrated with all user-centric platforms from the moment it is announced. Google’s Gemini 3 AI model does a lot more in terms of smartness, and the AI upgrades are going to be noteworthy. Google also claims Gemini 3 has better multimodal understanding, which handles long and complex tasks better. But for the regular users, most of the Gemini 3 upgrades will be evident with AI mode in Search and the Gemini mobile applications.
