New Delhi: So finally, Perplexity has officially introduced their Comet AI Browser for Indian users on Windows and Mac; now their desktop is going to be brighter than ever, and they can feel it while using their desktop. This Comet browser is available in India with the Pro plan subscription. With it, users will be able to book meetings, send emails, and make online purchases. While the Android users can pre-order the application from the Google Play Store, the desktop version has already launched for macOS and Windows, CEO Aravind Srinivas stated this on a LinkedIn post.

However, Perplexity Max and Pro subscribers invite only the users who signed up earlier for the waitlist to have access to the AI browser. Comet was launched earlier in July this year to the Perplexity Max Subscribers initially. A month ago, Perplexity AI partnered with Airtel to offer a year’s complimentary subscription to the Perplexity Pro. Then, in August, the AI startup introduced another tier called Comet Pro, which includes revenue sharing with the participating publishers at $5 a month for the users.
This is especially designed for professionals and researchers. Comet integrates directly with Perplexity’s AI search engine and offers features such as Comet Assistant, which automates routine tasks like managing tabs, summarising emails, and navigating web pages. Unlike conventional browsers such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, Comet provides a workspace interface, enabling users to access relevant information seamlessly without relying on multiple tabs.
