New Delhi: There is good news for content writers and for students who are using Grammarly to improve their grammar for their content and for some of their homework writing projects. The good news is that Grammarly has introduced eight latest AI agents, which are especially designed for users to get help with specific writing challenges, such as finding sources, checking the originality of the content, predicting reader reactions, and evaluating work against rubrics. The agents, as revealed by the company, will be available in docs, Grammarly’s latest AI writing surface and aim to support both students and professional content writers with their research, editing, and communication needs.
Our @Grammarly AI agents are here! Today, we’re launching eight new AI agents designed for students and professionals.
We created many of these agents with students in mind because they’re the first generation entering a job market where employers expect both subject expertise… pic.twitter.com/0fPe3SsQd4

This introduction marks the first stage of Grammarly’s shift towards agent-based AI, with the plans to expand these tools across the platforms where users write and collaborate. Now we will discuss those eight newly introduced features:
Reader Reactions: It is likely to predict takeaways, questions, and points of confusion for the target audience, such as the professors, managers, or clients.
AI Grader: It will provide feedback aligned with the uploaded rubrics and estimate grades before submission.
Citation Finder: This will locate evidence for or against claims and generate formatted citations.
Expert Review: It will basically offer subject-specific feedback based on academic or professional standards.
Proofreader: It will give in-line suggestions for clarity and confidence while adapting to the user’s style.
AI Detector: It scores whether the text was likely to be AI or human-generated.
Plagiarism Checker: It will compare text against databases and published material to highlight overlaps and ensure citations.
Paraphraser: It will adjust tone, audience, and style, and allows users to create a custom voice for their content.
In addition to agents, Grammarly is also introducing AI Chat in docs to assist with brainstorming, summarising, and generating suggestions. Grammarly also stated that agents will help students use the AI responsibly while maintaining academic integrity. According to the company, a study found that while two-thirds of employers plan to hire candidates with AI skills in 2025, only 18% of students feel very prepared to use AI in their careers. For the professionals, Grammarly also stated that agents can help to manage workplace writing tasks while preserving individual voice and credibility. By these agents, Grammarly is becoming the pro version for their users.
