Google launches Nano Banana in Google Earth with AI scene generation

New Delhi: Google has officially announced that they are expanding the capabilities of its most popular AI Image model Nano Banana by integrating it directly into Google Earth, by enabling the users to creatively transform real-world locations by using AI-generated imagery. This feature is rolling out globally on the web version of Google Earth, and it is focused on education, travel, architecture, and creative visualization.

Users can now select any location in Google Earth > Click Create Image > Enter a text prompt describing how they’d like to transform the scene > Generate an AI version of that location by using Nano Banana. Recreate historical landmarks by visualizing how places looked centuries ago.

Educational content such as AI-generated geography and history infographics. Architecture and urban planning, by helping designers visualize future developments. Real estate and home renovation, by enabling users to imagine landscaping or building modifications.

Creative storytelling, by including fantasy, futuristic or sci-fi versions of famous landmarks. Nano Banana uses Google’s latest AI image generation technology to blend satellite imagery, 3D terrain, street-level context, and natural language prompts. AI then creates the latest visual interpretation while maintaining the recognizable layout of the selected location.

This marks one of Google’s biggest steps toward bringing generative AI into its mapping products. Instead of serving only as navigation tools, Google Earth is becoming an interactive platform for learning, design visualization, travel inspiration, and creative exploration. It also demonstrates Google’s strategy of embedding Nano Banana across its ecosystem after unveiling it in Gemini and other AI products.
