New Delhi: Google has silently unveiled its latest application, which is called Google AI Edge Eloquent. It is an AI-powered dictation tool that actually works offline, marking a significant step in Google’s push toward edge-based AI experiences.
The application first appeared on the Apple App Store without any major announcement, signaling Google’s strategy to experiment with adoption in a niche but growing segment of productivity tools. With this latest dictation application, Google aimed to take on competitors like Wispr Flow, SuperWhisper, Willow, and many more.
Now, actually say goodbye to those manual edits and inaccurate speech-to-text transcriptions. Latest Google AI Edge Eloquent is an advanced dictation application that is engineered to bridge the gap between natural speech and professional, ready-to-use text.
Unlike those standard dictation software that will transcribes stumbles and filler words verbatim, Eloquent utilizes AI to capture the user’s intended meaning. It will automatically edit out ums, uhs, and mid-sentence self-corrections, outputting clean, accurate prose.
It is powered by Google’s Gemma architecture. This application will utilize highly efficient, on-device models to deliver responsive speech to text without requiring a server connection. Read the application description.
Those traditional, already available dictation applications which heavily rely on cloud connectivity, Eloquent is especially designed to run completely on-device, by ensuring faster response times and improved privacy. This application will also eliminate the need for constant internet access as it processes the speech locally, making it useful in areas with low connectivity.
