New Delhi: Apple is now making its steps forward in building its ecosystem more perfect and balanced, which users literally wanted in their devices. Recently, Apple has rolled out the Foundation Models framework, which is the latest tool that allows developers to integrate on-device AI features directly into their applications. Apple has also stated that iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26 are currently available worldwide, and the developers are using this latest framework to create offline features that are smarter and privacy-focused, and there is no extra cost to the users.
The Cupertino-based tech giant has stated that the framework has been developed to make it easier for developers to create experiences backed by the large language model at the core of Apple Intelligence. These experiences span from personalised journaling prompts to detailed summaries of workouts and even conversational explanations of scientific concepts. The latest Foundation Models framework is going to allow developers to create more innovative fitness and health applications. Another feature of the application, which is Smart Trainer, will offer lucid exercises. The application also generates monthly progress reports, personalised coaching messages, and greetings based on the real-time fitness data.
However, the language learning application Grammo has integrated the framework to offer instant feedback on the grammar exercises and to generate the latest questions on the fly. Children’s application Lil Artist now creates customised illustrated stories, while the Vocabulary organises the saved works into smart categories. Education platform Platzi now offers quick, conversational answers to questions about the course content in real time. This latest framework is going to work on any Apple Intelligence-compatible device running iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26. While for the developers, it lowers the barrier to building AI-powered features, for the users, it promises the latest levels of personalisation and productivity without compromising privacy.
