New Delhi: Adobe is now making things easier for ChatGPT users. The company has recently announced the launch of Photoshop, Acrobat, and Express directly into ChatGPT. According to the company, this integration enables users to edit images, create designs, and transform PDFs with simple, conversational instructions, eliminating the need to switch between multiple programs or interfaces. Adobe also states that the integration leverages its advancements in agentic AI, with the aim of making its tools more accessible. ChatGPT has over 800 million weekly users.
To access this latest feature, users type the name of the Adobe application followed by their desired action. To edit the image background, users can use Adobe Photoshop to help blur the background of this image. ChatGPT then guides the users through the process, sometimes providing sliders or other control options for detailed adjustments. The Adobe applications for ChatGPT do not replicate the full range of the features found in the standalone desktop software. But they offer many of the most popular and essential capabilities. Photoshop in ChatGPT can adjust brightness, contrast, and exposure, edit specific image sections, and apply effects.
Acrobat enables users to edit images, compress, and convert PDFs, as well as extract the text and redact details. Adobe Express enables the creation and customisation of designs, including templates for invitations and social media graphics. The rollout has begun globally, and the applications are free to all ChatGPT users across the desktop, web, and iOS, with Android support for Photoshop and Acrobat coming soon. The integration comes in the wake of OpenAI’s rollout of the application integrations for ChatGPT, which already features designs rivalling Canva. Bringing Adobe’s creative applications to ChatGPT could help both companies compete with the alternatives like Google’s Gemini AI, which offers image editing in May.
