Acer India sets sights on $1B Revenue goal amid market push

New Delhi: Acer India is setting a revenue goal in India, by which the company wanted to mark a name that a company have set a goal and they have achieved that, so Acer wanted to mark that name in India. Acer India is poised to surpass the $1 billion revenue milestone by the end of the year 2025, driven by strong growth in its consumer laptop segment and with the aggressive expansion of its manufacturing capabilities. In a recent statement by the company President Harish Kohli, he confirmed that the company expects to cross this landmark, supported by the latest manufacturing facilities in Puducherry and upcoming assembly partnerships. The majority of the products from these latest factories will serve the domestic market, with Bangladesh as an important export destination.

Acer’s ascent in India’s PC industry has been rapid, moving from a minor player with about 5.5% market share in the consumer notebooks to over 18% in the last six to seven quarters, largely attributable to the Make in India initiative and product customisation for the Indian consumers. Acer has now overtaken Dell to become the third-largest laptop brand in India and holds a strong position in desktops, with the market share of 24% second only to HP.

The company’s strategy includes increasing monthly laptop production to as much as 25,000 units in the coming years and expanding its retail presence through multi-brand and exclusive storefronts. With 75% of all the products sold in India now produced domestically and a 20% annual growth in offline outlets, Acer India is well-positioned to achieve and potentially exceed the $1 billion mark within the year.
