New Delhi: Online ed-tech platform PhysicsWallah is planning to invest $10 million in its Vidyapeeth School programme, which is integrated into regular classroom instruction to prepare students for CBSE, JEE, and NEET exams. The programme is currently available in 39 schools across 10 states in India, and PhysicsWallah aims to expand it to 300 schools by 2025-26, including in tier III-IV cities.
The investment will be made in phases, with $5 million allocated for infrastructure and $5 million for content creation, pedagogy development, and academic upgradation. Each school will receive Rs 8-10 lakh for infrastructure setup.
The Vidyapeeth School programme offers live classes, real-time doubt-solving applications, modules, and tests for grade 11 students focusing on Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Biology. The platform charges less than Rs 2,000 a month per student for its services.
According to Imran Rashid, Vice President of PhysicsWallah, the programme aims to integrate concepts and skills required for CBSE exams, JEE, and NEET preparation into regular classroom instruction, reducing the need for separate coaching classes. It also aims to provide quality education in remote areas.
The Vidyapeeth School programme is currently available in 34 districts across India, including in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Assam, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Haryana. With the investment, PhysicsWallah plans to reach a wider audience and help students prepare for their exams more effectively.
