New Delhi: MakerDAO, the decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO) behind the Dai stablecoin, has recently unveiled a comprehensive roadmap outlining its upcoming infrastructure updates. As per the reports, these updates will leverage artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and involve the development of a new blockchain.

Referred to as “Endgame,” the five-phase project is set to bring significant changes to MakerDAO’s ecosystem. Rune Christensen, the co-founder of MakerDAO, explained that the initial phase of Endgame would involve a complete rebranding, merging the Dai and Maker brands. The intention is to maintain the current form of both tokens while introducing two additional tokens with enhanced features called “NewStable” and “NewGovToken.”

Christensen emphasised that Dai will retain its status as the original stablecoin without any flashy attributes, with its liquidity consistently backed by the unlimited 1:1 conversion to NewStable.

According to sources, the “key product launch of Endgame” will introduce six “Maker SubDAOs” and corresponding NewStable token farms. The third phase of Endgame will incorporate AI technologies, establishing MakerDAO’s presence in open-source AI development through a project called “The Purpose Fund.” Additionally, the fourth phase will focus on creating an incentive program called “Governance Participation Incentive” for participants within the ecosystem.

Furthermore, MakerDAO intends to develop a new blockchain referred to as “NewChain.” Christensen clarified that this blockchain would operate alongside Ethereum, allowing NewStable, NewGovToken, Dai, and MKR to function as usual. The only change will be the addition of a secure governance backend facilitated through a state-of-the-art bridge.

By implementing these updates and leveraging AI technologies, MakerDAO aims to enhance its ecosystem and provide its users with improved stability and governance. These developments signify an important step towards the future of decentralised finance and the ongoing evolution of the MakerDAO platform.
