Surat: The Surat International Auto Expo 2026 has broken all past records with the exhibitors getting business worth crores of rupees, which they usually get in six to seven months, in just four days. Organised by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) at Sarsana SIECC, the Auto Expo witnessed the overwhelming presence of more than 90,000 visitors during the course of four days. The exhibitors witnessed significant inquiries and spot bookings of two-wheelers and cars.
SGCCI president Nikhil Madrasi said that the auto expo received a very good response, especially the car segment. Exhibitors from various car manufacturing companies received a large number of genuine inquiries. Many visitors showed interest in buying new cars and got detailed information, due to which there was a lot of enthusiasm among the exhibitors.
The two-wheeler segment also saw a huge response. The two-wheeler vehicles placed for display at the stalls of some companies were also sold on the spot. Many visitors also made advance bookings for their vehicles of choice on the Sport, which is a testament to the popularity of the expo.
The overwhelming response to the Auto Expo has left dealers and stall holders excited. According to exhibitors, they received as much business and enquiries as they normally do in six months in just the four-day Auto Expo. Many companies received significant enquiries and bookings due to the large number of visitors.
In addition, the highest number of visitors in a single day experienced adventurous driving at the Jeep proving ground, which was said by the organisers to be the highest in the whole of India.
On the first day, 7,880 visitors viewed cars and bikes of various brands at the expo. On the second day, Saturday, 14,740 people visited the Auto Expo. On Sunday, a record-breaking crowd gathered at the Expo and more than 50,000 people thronged the Expo in a single day. On the fourth day, Monday, more than 15,000 people visited the Expo, taking the total number of visitors to more than 87,000 in four days.
A special attraction for visitors was a bike stunt show organized during the Auto Expo. A large number of people gathered to watch the thrilling bike stunts performed by skilled riders. The riders performed various amazing stunts, which generated great enthusiasm among the audience and the entire atmosphere resonated with thunderous applause.
Moreover, visitors got a chance to have a special thrilling experience at the proving ground built at the Expo. Here, people could enjoy the experience of riding a jeep on rough roads, ups and downs, and going through potholes. Many visitors also enjoyed the unique pleasure of adventurous driving on this proving track by driving a jeep, which was becoming one of the special memorable attractions of the expo.
The vintage car segment at the Auto Expo also became a special attraction for the visitors. There was great enthusiasm among the people to see the attractive and historically important vintage cars of different periods. Seeing the unique design, style and maintenance of these cars, car enthusiasts highly appreciated them and many people also took photographs of the vintage cars.
This Auto Expo of the Chamber of Commerce provided an important platform for the automobile industry in the city of Surat and succeeded in establishing a direct connection between industrialists and consumers.
