Surat: The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) delegation visited Pune to attend the cow-based global summit and expo titled ‘Gau Tech 2026’.
A team led by SGCCI vice-president Ashok Jirawala and chairman of SGCCI’s animal husbandry and agriculture committee KB Pipaliya attended the inauguration ceremony of this Expo as a special guest and also actively participated in the seminar.
Industrialists manufacturing cow-based products, milk producers, machinery manufacturers and many entrepreneurs associated with the laboratory sector participated in this Expo. The representatives of the SGCCI got detailed information about the products and technologies displayed at various stalls. The representatives showed special interest in the growing demand in the field of cow-based products and its business opportunities.
SGCCI vice-president Ashok Jirawala said that the Chairman of the Gau Seva Aayog of the Government of India, Dr. Vallabh Kathiria during the Expo in Pune, in which the Chamber of Commerce discussed in detail the organization of the ‘Cow Tech and Animal Husbandry and Dairy Technology’ Expo in Surat during the upcoming February-2027 in collaboration with the Gau Seva Aayog of the Government of India. A special cattle fair will also be organized in this Expo, in which cows, horses and elephants will be exhibited. Along with this, the best animal husbandry will be honored by giving awards.
An MoU will also be signed between the SGCCI and the Gau Seva Aayog of the Government of India in the coming days regarding the ‘Cow Tech and Animal Husbandry and Dairy Technology’ Expo.
Jirawala expressed the hope that organizing such a large expo in Surat in the coming time will give a boost to the cow-based industries, dairy and animal husbandry sector and will create new business opportunities for industrialists and farmers.
