Surat: For the first time, the Surat International Auto Expo 2026 organized by The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) witnessed a massive turnout of visitors on Sunday. According to the SGCCI officials, about 50,000 people visited the Auto Expo in a single day with their families, resulting in a huge crowd in the entire venue.
SGCCI president Nikhil Madrasi said, “Long queues of vehicles were seen in the entire parking area of the Auto Expo and within a short time the entire parking lot was filled. A large number of people came from the city and surrounding areas to visit the Expo. Visitors got information about the latest models, modern technology and designs of various leading automobile companies. People were particularly eager to see the vehicles displayed at the Auto Expo up close and understand their features.
The stunt bike show organized at the Auto Expo also became a special attraction for the visitors. The thrilling stunts performed by the stunt bike riders were applauded by the audience. Apart from this, the proving ground built at the Auto Expo also became particularly popular among the people. Various types of rough and bumpy tracks were prepared in the proving ground, through which vehicles were passed to show a glimpse of their capabilities and power. Many visitors experienced a unique thrill by experiencing this proving ground.
Surat Municipal Commissioner M. Nagarajan also visited the Auto Expo on Sunday. He saw the various vehicles on display and had an exciting experience by riding a jeep on the rough track in the proving ground. He praised the entire organization and said that such auto expos prove to be useful and inspiring for the automobile sector of the city.
During the Auto Expo, a large number of city dwellers showed special enthusiasm for new vehicles. Many visitors got information about the car and two-wheeler models of various companies on display and also made spot bookings on the spot. Especially due to new technology, attractive designs and special offers, vehicle enthusiasts showed enthusiasm to buy vehicles, as a result of which spot bookings of many vehicles were recorded at the expo.
In addition, the vintage cars displayed at the Auto Expo also attracted special attention among the visitors. Visitors felt special excitement as they got the opportunity to see 11 vintage cars of very rare and historical importance, dating back to before 1930, very closely at the expo. There was special curiosity among vehicle enthusiasts to see the unique design, strong construction and historical heritage of these magnificent cars of old times.
The huge crowd and enthusiasm of visitors recorded on Sunday indicate the success of the Auto Expo and the organization of the Chamber of Commerce received a wide response. Chamber officials were optimistic that the Auto Expo would be very crowded on the last day, Monday, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
