Ahmedabad: Ms. Geeta Goradia, the current chair of the FICCI Gujarat Council, has received the IWEC (International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge) Award 2022 at its 15th Annual Conference in Madrid, Spain, from Nov 13-15, 2022. The theme of this year’s conference was “Connecting Women Businesses Globally – The Transformational Power of Women in Business.
The IWEC’s 15th edition of the Annual Conference held in Madrid was represented by successful womentrepreneurs and other world-class thought leaders from across the globe. They shared their experiences, challenges, and best industry practices to enlighten the transformational power of women’s leadership.
Headquartered in New York City, USA, the International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge was established in Barcelona in the year 2007. It was set up to connect small & mid-size womentrepreneurs across the globe – those already in the international marketplace and those who want to expand or are ready to enter the market and learn from other women leaders.
Another important aspect of IWEC awardees is a commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs through mentoring, community outreach, board participation, sustainability, etc.
IWEC works with 47 countries’ international chambers of commerce and a network of successful womentrepreneurs worldwide. FICCI-FLO is the Indian Chamber of Commerce, a leading member of IWEC, and was instrumental in her recommendation to IWEC.
